LA VINA, Madera County — La Vina has a dedicated Mobility Study, formally adopted by the Madera County Board of Supervisors on January 15, 2019, that can still serve as a reference in discussions about rural transportation.
The county says it commissioned separate studies for La Vina and Parkwood to examine how residents travel and what changes might make movement safer. That distinction matters: a mobility study can document needs and offer ideas but is not necessarily a final funded road construction program.
How to use the study today
People concerned about walking routes, access to schools, transit connections or crossing busy roads can consult the county’s published study and compare its proposals with actual conditions on the ground. A recommendation from 2019 should not be treated as confirmation that sidewalks or other infrastructure were installed by 2026.
For an up-to-date project list, residents can contact Madera County Community and Economic Development at 559-675-7703 and ask whether a particular recommendation has an adopted budget, design or construction timeline. Reporting a location and safety concern can help officials respond more precisely.
